1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Realboard (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use:

  • the Realboard mobile application (Android and iOS), and
  • related services at https://realboard.online (the “Services”).

Realboard is a social feed where users create posts, react to content, compete for featured placement, and purchase in-app token packs to boost posts.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you create an account or use account features, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Username
  • Display name
  • First and last name (optional)
  • Password (stored securely on our servers; we do not store your plain-text password)
  • Profile photo (if you upload one)
  • Posts and media you upload (photos, videos, captions)
  • Reactions (such as likes or dislikes) on posts
  • Reports you submit about users or content (including reason and optional details)
  • Blocked users list
  • Support or account-related communications you send to us

Registration and login use email/username and password. We do not offer third-party sign-in (such as Google or Apple login) in the mobile app.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you use the app, we may automatically collect:

  • App activity, such as posts viewed or shared (counted in aggregate; we do not attach a personal identifier to every view or share)
  • Authentication session data (a secure access token issued when you log in)
  • Push notification token (if you enable notifications)
  • Purchase-related data when you buy token packs (see Section 2.4)
  • Device and connection information that our servers may log in the normal course of hosting (such as IP address, browser/app user agent, and request timestamps)

We do not collect precise or approximate location from the Realboard app. We do not access your contacts, SMS, call logs, or health data.

2.3 Information stored on your device

The app stores some information locally on your device using standard device storage (AsyncStorage), including:

  • Your login session token
  • Your push notification preference and push token (if enabled)
  • Your theme preference (light, dark, or system)

This information is removed from your device when you log out, disable notifications, or delete your account (where applicable).

2.4 In-app purchases

Realboard offers consumable token packs through Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). When you make a purchase, we receive information needed to verify and fulfill it, such as:

  • Product ID
  • Transaction ID
  • Purchase token or receipt data
  • Platform (Android or iOS)

Payment processing is handled by Google or Apple. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Token purchases may also create order records in our backend systems (including WooCommerce) for fulfillment, support, and record-keeping.

2.5 Camera, photos, and notifications

With your permission, the app may access:

  • Your photo library — to choose images or videos for posts
  • Your camera — to capture photos or videos for posts
  • Push notifications — to send optional alerts (for example, when someone takes your #1 spot, when your post receives engagement milestones, or for service announcements)

You can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings at any time. Some features may not work without the relevant permission.

Before upload, images are processed to remove embedded location and camera metadata (EXIF) where possible.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate you and keep you signed in
  • Display your profile and posts in the feed
  • Process reactions, shares, views, and ranking/season features
  • Deliver push notifications you have opted into
  • Process and verify in-app purchases and credit token balances
  • Let you spend tokens to create or boost posts
  • Moderate content, handle reports, and enforce blocks
  • Send password reset and purchase-related emails where applicable
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Improve and operate the Services
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or sell your personal information for cross-app advertising.


4. How We Share Information

We may share information in these situations:

4.1 Public and social features

Content you choose to publish (such as posts, username, display name, profile photo, and public profile information) may be visible to other users and on realboard.online, including in feeds, profiles, search, and share links.

4.2 Service providers and infrastructure

We use trusted third parties to operate the Services, including:

These providers process data on our behalf only as needed to provide their services.

4.4 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.


5. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Account data — while your account is active
  • Posts and media — until you delete them or delete your account (see below)
  • Push tokens — until you disable notifications, unregister, or delete your account
  • Purchase records — as long as needed for billing, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance
  • Reports and moderation records — as long as needed to enforce our policies and protect users

When you delete your account, we perform a soft delete that:

  • Anonymizes your profile (username, email, display name, and related profile fields)
  • Removes your posts from public feeds and clears associated engagement analytics on those posts
  • Removes your push notification registration and in-app notification history
  • Ends your active sessions

Some information may remain in backups, logs, or purchase records for a limited period where required by law or for security and fraud prevention.


6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (such as push notifications)
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

In the app, you can:

  • Update profile details in your account settings
  • Enable or disable push notifications in Settings
  • Delete individual posts
  • Block other users
  • Delete your account from the account screen (this action is permanent and cannot be undone)

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to our servers. Authentication tokens are stored on your device in standard app storage.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.


8. Children’s Privacy

Realboard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [your privacy/support email], and we will take steps to delete that information.


9. International Users

Realboard is operated from [your country/region]. If you access the Services from outside that region, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

The Realboard mobile app does not include third-party analytics or advertising tracking SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, ad networks, or similar tools).

We do collect limited first-party engagement metrics (such as post view counts, share counts, and authenticated reactions) to operate ranking, notifications, and feed features.

The app or website may link to third-party sites (for example, when you share content). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.


12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or on our website.

Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
